This is the first part of our summer holiday trip to Italy-France and Spain. First stop: Lenno at Lake Como (Lago di Como) in Northern Italy. The beautiful lake is situated in a mountainous pre-alpine territory not far from the Swiss border. In 2014, the Huffington Post called Lake Como the most beautiful lake in the world for its microclimate and environment with prestigious villas and villages.

The next three pictures were taken at sunrise after a rainy night.
With the sun rising, the promenade becomes illuminated under the dark sky.
The pictures above and below were taken at the beautiful Villa del Balbianello which is located in Lenno. This place is also known as film set of Star Wars Episode II on a planet called Naboo (see last image).
This final picture shows a scene of the movie Star Wars, Episode II - Attack of the Clones -with Anakin Skywalker (later known as Darth Vader) and his wife Padmé Amidala (all credits to Lucasfilm Ltd.). What a historical moment - Jedi master romance right behind our camping ground!
