A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES – HOW AN EVENT REPORT COMES TO LIFE
Every event tells its own story – from the first preparations behind the scenes and the highlights on stage to the encounters between guests. A successful event report captures more than individual moments on the programme; it documents the atmosphere and energy of the entire event.
Using an arts festival at Showpalast Munich as an example, I show how planning, live event photography and authentic moments come together to create a visual story that can be used in many ways for marketing, press and social media.
01 | Preparation
What happens before the curtain rises?
Every event begins long before the guests arrive. The stage, technology, lighting, performers and many different teams all have to work together to make sure everything runs smoothly in the end.
Before the event begins, I document the setup, the atmosphere behind the scenes and the final preparations. This creates images that show not only the event itself, but also the people and the work that make it possible in the first place.

How does an event become a visual story?
When the lights go down and the show begins, every moment counts. Expressions, emotions and key moments cannot be repeated – they have to be captured at exactly the right time.
I document events unobtrusively from the background, capturing both the major highlights of the programme and the small moments in between. The result is a visual report that authentically reflects the atmosphere, energy and emotions of the event.

How do you capture the atmosphere of an event authentically?
A successful event is not only about the programme, but above all about the people. Conversations, encounters and spontaneous moments create the atmosphere that makes an event unique.
II follow the action attentively and unobtrusively – from the reception and networking to the small moments between programme highlights. This creates authentic images that not only document who was there, but also bring the mood and character of the event to life.
